This rich platinum print, with bright highlights and nuanced midtones, is in generally excellent condition.
Upon very close examination in raking light, a few small, thin, linear scuffs are barely visible. The print is trimmed to the image, and there is minor edge wear. There are 2 glossy deposits in the lower left quadrant and 2 extremely faint brown deposits in the upper right quadrant that may be foxing. There is a crease in the upper right corner that appears to have been flattened and expertly retouched. There is a faint, matte linear deposit in the upper left quadrant, possibly also retouching. None of the aforementioned detracts in any way from this impressive, highly-detailed platinum print.
The photograph is tipped along its upper edge to thick, buff paper. The mount is sunned at the photograph's periphery but overall age-appropriately darkened. As is visible in the full object illustration online, there is some liquid staining and a tideline along the right edge of the mount, as well as several rust-colored deposits that appear to be foxing. The mount corners are rounded and creased.
On the reverse of the mount, there is a red ink stain at the upper right corner. There are yellowed adhesive remnants along each edge and a linear abrasion along the upper edge, suggesting that this mount may previously have been affixed to a secondary mount.
