'RANCHOS CHURCH'

waxed platinum print, copyrighted in pencil on the image, signed and dated in pencil on the reverse, framed, 1930; accompanied by a fragment of a Sociedad Fotografica Madrid letterpress exhibition label (Center for Creative Photography, pl. 18) (2)

7½ by 9½ in. (19.1 by 24.1 cm.)

This platinum print, on smooth, nearly-matte paper with creamy highlights, is in overall excellent condition. A very faint sheen in raking light suggests that this print is waxed or coated. The following is visible under very close examination: a few very faint brown deposits of indeterminate nature in the sky; a few soft impressions; and chipping along the thin margin edges.

The accompanying fragment of the original exhibition label is mounted to modern card. 'Platinum print of Ranchos Church Medal' is annotated in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse.
